Im Rahmen des europäischen Förderprogramms Erasmus+ wurde am Lehrstuhl für Wirtschafpädagogik zu Beginn des Sommersemesters 2026 erfolgreich das Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) „VET and VET TEACHER TYPES. A cross-national comparison.” durch unsere Dozentin Johanna Telle Zips durchgeführt.
Das BIP entstand in enger Kooperation mit Hamid Ashgari von der Karlstad Universität (Schweden), Domingo Barroso Hurtado und Laura Alonso Díaz von der Universität Extremadura (Spanien) sowie Eszter Bükki von der Budapest University of Technology and Ecnomics (Ungarn). Es verband virtuelle Lehr- und Lernphasen mit einer kompakten einwöchigen physischen Mobilitätsphase vor Ort und ermöglichte so eine innovative Form internationaler Hochschulkooperation.
Die Herausforderungen beruflicher Bildung (Vocational Education and Training – VET) sind zunehmend komplex: Globalisierung, Digitalisierung, soziale Ungleichheit, Heterogenität in Lerngruppen und der Wandel der Arbeitswelt erfordern reflektierte, wissenschaftlich fundierte pädagogische Professionalität. Das interkulturelle Short Programme eröffnete vor diesem Hintergrund wertvolle praxisorientierte Lerngelegenheiten sowie Einblicke in sowohl gleichartige als auch alternative Konzepte beruflicher Bildung innerhalb Europas:
Konkret wurde das BIP für Studierende mit berufs- und wirtschaftspädagogischem Hintergrund innerhalb der europäischen Erasmus+-Partneruniversitäten geöffnet. Ziel war es, den Fokus auf verschiedene Berufsbildungssysteme und -programme zu richten. Diese wurden im Rahmen eines länderübergreifenden Vergleichs analysiert, wobei insbesondere das vierte Nachhaltigkeitsziel „Hochwertige Bildung“ berücksichtigt wurde. Zudem wurde ein Lernraum geschaffen, in dem Studierende, Lehrkräfte und verschiedene Akteursgruppen im Feld der beruflichen Bildung miteinander reflektieren und sich untereinander austauschen konnten. So erfuhren die Teilnehmenden mehr darüber, wie Lehrkräfte in der beruflichen Bildung in Deutschland, Spanien, Schweden und Ungarn ausgebildet werden. Sie lernten Bildungseinrichtungen im Bereich der beruflichen Bildung kennen, die verschiedene Zielgruppen wie Auszubildende und Menschen mit Fluchthintergrund unterrichten. In diesem Zusammenhang durfte die Gruppe bei der Auslandsgesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt (AGSA), den Berufsbildenden Schulen „Otto von Guericke“ Magdeburg, dem Berufsbildungszentrum der Handwerkskammer, dem Europäischen Bildungswerk für Beruf und Gesellschaft und dem Interkulturellen Beratungs- und Begegnungszentrums des Caritasverbands zu Gast sein.
Die erfolgreiche Umsetzung des Programms unterstreicht die Bedeutung internationaler Vernetzungsformate in der Hochschullehre sowie deren Potenzial für die Weiterentwicklung innovativer Lehr-Lern-Arrangements im europäischen Hochschulraum. Eine Fortführung und institutionelle Verstetigung vergleichbarer Formate ist angestrebt.

INTERCULTURAL EXCHANGE IN APRIL 2026 – BROADENING PERSPECTIVES ON VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING TOGETHER!
As part of the European funding programme Erasmus+, the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “VET and VET TEACHER TYPES. A cross-national comparison.” was successfully conducted at the Chair of Business Education at the beginning of the summer semester 2026 by our teaching staff Johanna Telle Zips.
The BIP was developed in close cooperation with Hamid Ashgari from the Karlstad University (Sweden), Domingo Barroso Hurtado und Laura Alonso Díaz from the University of Extremadura (Spain) and Eszter Bükki from the Budapest University of Technology and Ecnomics (Hungary). It combined virtual teaching and learning phases with a compact one-week on-site mobility period, thereby enabling an innovative form of international higher education collaboration.
The challenges facing Vocational Education and Training (VET) are becoming increasingly complex: globalization, digitalization, social inequality, heterogeneity in learning groups, and changes in the world of work require reflective, scientifically and pedagogical professionalism. The intercultural Short Programme, set against this backdrop, created valuable practice-oriented learning opportunities and offered insights into both similar and alternative approaches to vocational education across Europe:
Specifically, the programme was opened to students with a background in Vocational Education and Training across the European Erasmus+ partner universities. The aim was to focus on different VET systems and programmes. These were analysed within the framework of a cross-country comparison, with particular attention given to the fourth sustainability goal, “Quality Education.” In addition, a collaborative learning environment was created in which students, university teachers, and various stakeholder groups in the field of VET could reflect and exchange perspectives. In this way, the participants learned more about how VET teachers are trained in Germany, Spain, Sweden, and Hungary. They became acquainted with educational institutions in the field of VET that teach diverse target groups, such as apprentices and people with lived experience of forced migration. Against this background, the group had the opportunity to visit the Saxony-Anhalt Society for Foreign Affairs (AGSA), the Vocational Schools “Otto von Guericke” Magdeburg (Berufsbildende Schulen “Otto von Guericke” Magdeburg), the Vocational training center of Magdeburg’s Chamber of Crafts (BBZ der HWK), the Intercultural Counseling and Community Center of the Caritas and the European Training Institute für Work and Society (Europäischen Bildungswerk für Beruf und Gesellschaft).
The implementation of the programme highlights the importance of international networking formats in Higher Education, as well as their potential for advancing innovative teaching and learning arrangements within the Europe. The continuation and institutionalisation of similar formats are intended.
